Making A Purchase Woodway Engineering Ltd only accept orders on this web site from registered users. If you wish to register please download, complete and return the registration form either by faxing to 02476 621796 or by e-mail: sales@woodway-online.co.uk

If you wish to open a trading account our Accounts Department will contact you following submission of the completed enquiry form to obtain business details and trade references. Woodway Engineering Ltd reserve the right to refuse any application for a trade account without specifying a reason.

If you do not wish to open a trade account or we refuse your application, you may still register but you will be required to purchase goods by 'invoice with order'. Payment in full will be required prior to the dispatch of any goods ordered. For urgent orders we recommend payment by CHAPS or BACS directly into our bank account. Please contact our accounts office for details.

If you prefer to pay by cheque it should be made payable to Woodway Engineering Ltd. We will not dispatch goods until cheques have cleared.

Once you have registered you will be provided with a username and password that will be unique to you and your organisation that will allow you to 'logon' to the web site. You should not disclose this user name and password to third parties, we will never request this information from you. If you believe that this information has been compromised you must notify us immediately.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue and click on any items that you wish to buy and add them to your shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, please review the order and ensure it is correct. Please refer to the 'Shipping and Handling' section for details on how to specify you shipping preference. When you have chosen your shipping preference click on "Confirm Order" and you will be asked to enter your password to confirm your identity and submit your order for processing. When deciding whether or not to accept your order we may use certain information about you, including your account credit limit and your payment history. Woodway Engineering Ltd reserve the right to withdraw your account without notice and without specifying a reason.

While we try to ensure that all prices and descriptions on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price or description of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or description or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. Please note that all pictures on this site are for illustrative purposes only and do not necessarily indicate the specific item offered for sale. All diagrams, illustrations, descriptions weights and dimensions appearing are approximate and are included for guidance only. Inline with our policy of continuous improvement, we reserve the right to make design or product alterations, or to discontinue any item as may be necessary without prior notice.

Execution of Orders
Execution of orders is contingent upon the availability of goods and the absence of any circumstances beyond the control of Woodway Engineering Ltd, which hinders or prevent such execution. Written confirmation of orders placed on this website must be clearly endorsed "Confirmation". In the event of order duplication through failure to clearly endorse the confirmation, the customer will be liable for the full invoice value of the duplicated order. Such duplicated deliveries will only be accepted for credit subject to a 15% handling charge, and must be returned to us carriage paid and in original packaging.

Payment of Invoices
All trade accounts must be paid not later than thirty days from the date of invoice. In the event of default Woodway Engineering Ltd reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contract in respect of any undelivered goods. None trade account holders i.e. customers using 'payment with invoice' will be required to pay the full invoice amount prior to the dispatch of goods. If you pay by cheque we will not dispatch goods until the cheque has cleared.

Reservation of Title
Notwithstanding delivery and passing of the risk, legal and beneficial ownership of the goods shall remain in Woodway Engineering Ltd until full payment for the goods has been made. Until ownership passes the Purchaser shall hold the goods as bailee for Woodway Engineering Ltd and must keep the goods free from any charge lien or other encumbrance. If the Purchaser purports to sell the goods before payment is made to Woodway Engineering Ltd the proceeds of the sale shall belong to Woodway Engineering Ltd until Woodway Engineering Ltd has received payment in full. Where such goods are used, even with loss of identity, the legal ownership to the resultant product shall vest in Woodway Engineering Ltd and any proceeds of sale in respect of goods unused or resultant products shall be received by the Purchaser as agents for Woodway Engineering Ltd and on their account.

DELIVERY INFORMATION We offer a delivery services to the UK Mainland only. Delivery charges are added to the final invoice and are based on the delivery area and the parcel weight.

For before noon, Saturday AM and off-shore UK deliveries please contact the factory to confirm price and availability.

The delivery address must have a person able to sign for the parcel(s) as they are delivered.

Delivery Schedule Spare part orders will usually be processed within 48 hours. VOR (vehicle off road) orders if requested will be processed the same day if at all possible. Light bar and other product that requires some customisation, (such as the addition of alley lights etc.) will usually be shipped within 10 working days. If your order is urgent please contact our Sale Department on 02476 841750 quoting your order reference number and we will advise you on estimated delivery times.

We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales quoted, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Woodway Engineering Ltd shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within the estimated timescales. Woodway Engineering Ltd accept no responsibility for late delivery by any carrier.

Risk in Goods
The risk in all goods shall pass to the Purchaser on delivery of the goods to the Purchaser.

Damage or Shortage
Damage or shortage of goods discovered on delivery must be notified to us by e-mail to sales@woodway-online.co.uk within five working days. Any claims for damage or shortages, which are not notified within this time, shall not be accepted by Woodway Engineering Ltd.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. We will contact you with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges All prices and charges shown on this website are in UK Pounds Sterling and are exclusive of VAT which will be charged at the current rate where applicable. We reserve the right to amend prices without prior notice.

Customers exempt from VAT must provide a VAT exemption certificate and a written order otherwise VAT will be charged and cannot be refunded.

Guarantee
All goods are covered by our warranty as detailed below

USER DIRECT WARRANTY

Woodway Engineering Ltd, warrants products of its manufacture against defects in material and workmanship. This is providing that the product has been installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. During the warranty period Woodway will repair or replace (at its option) any parts or electronic assemblies of the unit which disclose a defect in material or workmanship. Woodway will return the repaired unit, transportation cost prepaid.

This warranty is not applicable to any Woodway/Whelen product that has failed due to abuse, misuse (including lack of maintenance as described in service manuals), improper installation, excessive voltages, or alterations to the product that affects, in the manufacturer’s judgement, intended use and service. Woodway will not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages, and assumes no responsibility or liability for expense incurred in the removal and/or re-installation of products requiring service and/or repair, nor the handling of products returned from Woodway after service or repair. The warranty is not applicable to Whelen products that are not ‘e11’ approved such as ‘grey’ imports supplied via third parties from the USA.

Incandescent and halogen bulbs, polycarbonate/plastic materials are not covered by this warranty. This warranty will be void when using or substituting other than all-genuine Woodway/Whelen system components such as remote head assemblies, xenon flash tubes, shielded cable and siren components, (speakers & amplifiers).

HDP / 5 Year Warranty (Heavy Duty Professional).
Siren Amplifiers, Remote Strobe Power Supplies, Lightbar Strobe Power Supplies ‘EB6’, ‘EB4’, LFL, (Edge, Edge ULTRA & LFL) & LED Products bearing the official HDP label (Heavy Duty Professional) are manufactured to HDP standards and are covered by a direct warranty for up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. In accordance with the policy statement described herein, the unit may be returned directly to the factory for warranty consideration.

3 Year Warranty
Justice ‘GP’ Lightbar LED modules and Centurion Light Bar Heavy duty motor assemblies are covered by a direct warranty for up to three years from date of manufacture. In accordance with the policy statement described herein, the unit may be returned directly to the factory for warranty consideration.

2 Year Warranty
With the exceptions of the products noted below (12 Month Warrenty - XENON Flash Tubes and Speaker Drivers), all other Woodway/Whelen products are covered by a direct warranty for up to two years from date of purchase (or maximum 3 years from date of manufacture). In accordance with the policy statement described herein, the unit may be returned directly to the factory for warranty consideration.

12 Month Warranty - XENON Flash Tubes and Speaker Drivers
(Except Flash Tubes from 1000/2000/3000 & VP Series which are covered by a 6 month warranty).
If a Xenon flash tube component of a Woodway/Whelen product is returned to Woodway within 12 months from the date affixed to the tube, Woodway will replace that tube ONE TIME ONLY.

100W Speaker Drivers are covered by a direct warranty for one year from date of purchase. The serial number of the Siren Amplifier powering the Speaker must be supplied with all Speaker Drivers returned.

Privacy Policy Woodway Engineering Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.

Returns Policy You have a right to cancel any contract within 7 workings days without giving any reason. The 7 working days will start the day after receipt of the goods. The cancellation notice should be sent by e-mail to sales@woodway-online.co.uk. You must state your name, company, a description of the goods concerned and the contract number of the cancelled contract.

You must take reasonable care of the goods in your possession pending their return. Woodway Engineering Ltd will only accept the returned goods in their original packing and which do not exhibit signs of wear or tear. Any use of the delivered goods beyond that necessary to inspect the goods on delivery will invalidate your right to cancel the contract.

Where Woodway Engineering Ltd have supplied goods to you, these goods must be returned to Woodway Engineering Ltd., Lower Road, Barnacle, Coventry, CV7 9LD. The cost of returning the goods is non-refundable and where Woodway Engineering Ltd collects goods the direct cost of such will be deducted from the refund.

Once notice of your cancellation has been received and we are in possession of the returned goods, Woodway Engineering Ltd will make a refund on the contract price. A refund will not be issued for the return of Goods which in the opinion of Woodway Engineering Ltd are in an unsaleable condition.
